the lawsons

With all the nice weather I have been swamped, so this post will be short on words.   If you are wanting to book a session contact me soon, I have two spots left in April and May is almost completely booked too!.   Enjoy your sneakity peaky Lawson Gang!

Caught this one of mom and dad, too bad you cant hear the kids in the background.  It was really funny!

They are really blessed with the cutest kids. Even though the little stinker above had no time for smiling, he was too busy chasing the geese and picking the flowers.

B is in my sons class, and is the sweetest boy in the world – well next to mine 😉

Isn’t she just precious? She was hamming it up by the end of the session.

Thanks for letting me hang out with your awesome family!

williams family

I was so excited to get and email from Holy saying she wanted her family portraits done.  I have known Holly since….. well for a really long time.  Our families attended the same church together when we were younger.  She looks great, and has beautiful family too!  Enjoy your sneak peek Holly.

We met out at Will Rogers Rose Garden.  I haven’t been there in a while.  I forgot how beautiful it is.  Especially in the fall.

How can you resist this adorable face? Her eyes, and those cheeks!  I have a feeling that Holy looked a lot like this when she was a baby.

Mr. C showing off his dance moves!

Hot Mamma!

I told him to give me his most studly look.  It just made him laugh!

October has flown by, and I have been having a blast!  I have a feeling that is going to be how the rest of the year is going to be for me.  I only have 3 available session dates open in November and 4 in Dec.  If you’re wanting pictures for Christmas contact me soon before the dates are gone!  Have a great weekend.  I know that I will! Heading down to the Big D for a little shopping with my girlfriends!

The Roach family

I wanted to get this post up before I ship my computer off for repairs.  Every once in a while it just decides it needs to shut down.  So I will have to share a computer with my husband for the next couple of weeks.  I’m not looking forward to it, but I will try and play nice!  HA!!

Okay, enough about me and my computer woes and on to this GORGEOUS family.  I have been wanting to photograph them for a while now. I was so excited that I finally got to do it!  Even though the weather was a little dreary, and a bit on the chilly side every one was great. And I think the kiddos had a great time running around everywhere.  Within 15 min their little cheeks and noses were pink:).   Normally I preview a variety of  conversions, but as I was working on these I was absolutely loving every black and white conversion.   Okay, picture time!………

The family.  And dad trying to give me his best smoldering look!  He was such a good sport, I have to give him a hard time.  He did eventually crack a smile!

Their beautiful children.  They were such good kids.  Their son, K, reminded me so much of my Josh with all of his energy.

Sweet Miss D.  So precious, she and her sister are only going to get more beautiful as they grow up.

Miss H.  Equally as precious.  Watch out mom and dad!

Miss K and Mister K.  There is something really captivating about this picture.  I know that it will always be treasured. While I was with them that evening it was obvious how much they loved their big sister.  I think they like it when she is home from college.

WOW!  She must have about 20 boys wanting to date her.  She was so sweet. This was the first time that I got to meet her since she goes to college where orange is a very popular color. I tried not to hold it against her.

I know I keep saying how sweet every one was, but they were.  I just can’t get over it. Their parents are truly blessed.

What can I say about K?  He was everywhere.  Looking at everything.  Chasing the ducks.  Teasing his sisters.  Exasperating Mom and Dad, and loving every minute of it.  He is every bit of what a boy should be.  I had so much fun in the couple of min alone with him taking his pictures.  Teasing him about how cute and pretty he is.  He was a good sport and laughed right along with me, even though he did blush a little.

I love black and white.  The only thing that y’all are missing is their beautiful blue eyes.

This is where the kids get their good looks from.  Isn’t she beautiful?

Isn’t he lucky?  A gorgeous wife, beautiful (and well behaved) children.  Well, maybe, just maybe they get a little of their good looks from their dad. But just a little.

One more that I had to share of Miss D and her daddy.  I don’t remember what it is that we were laughing about.  We were laughing so much!  But I love it.  I want to laugh and smile right along with them!  Thanks guys for letting me come and hang out with you.  I had a blast!

Lawson Gang

I met up with this sweet family tonight, and other than battling the wind we had a great time walking around (sometimes running) the Rose Garden at Will Rodgers Park.  Here is the whole gang.  Probably my favorite pose for families.

Mr. W just turned a year old.  Isn’t this the cutes little smile?

Miss B… she was an absolute doll.  I have way to many cute pictures of her to choose from.

Mr. B is the same age as my little boy, and it’s a fun, fun age.

I just love his red hair, and he has the most gorgeous eyes.   He sure is a cutie, even though his favorite subject is math!

I don’t think I would have made it through the session if it wasn’t for Mr. M.  He helped me so much by holding my reflector. It’s not easy to hold a reflector and take a picture at the same time.  And he did awsome job, he didn’t even let it get blown away by the wind.

May and June are booking up fast!  Contact me now if you want to book a session with me during those months.

Stewart family

Finally!  I had a great time the other day chasing this family around the park.  They were great.  Dad is deploying to Korea in a few months and they wanted to get some family shots before he left for a year.  The twins were a hoot,  and I spent a bunch of time during editing trying to figure out which one was which… but I did it.  Here ya go, I know you’ll love them!

I just couldn’t resist this look there oldest was giving me.  He has that sneaky look in his eyes, you just know he’s about to do something crazy!

Thing 1.  I’m told that he has this look on his face A LOT.  I see this look a lot from my husband.   “Huh?”

Thing 2. These two did not want to sit down. Ever.  Always running.  But that’s okay,  2 year olds’ are supposed to keep you moving right?

I just love this one.   Love the quietness of the portait.  The light is warm.  This is also the longest they all sat still.

Let me just tell you for a bit about the things that we photographers do to get laughs and smiles out of kiddos.  I think I used every single one of them this night.  I had(pretend) birds flying around my head, and pooping on my head.  I had ducks, and fish, and squirrels in my camera lens.  Mommy and Daddy played a monster that was going to get me if they didn’t laugh.  And to top it off, I wore a (clean) diaper on my head.  In public.  I used to do it for two kids that I babysat as a teenager, and they just thought it was the funniest thing.  But that was in their house, not in public with people walking around.

Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys for the evening I had a blast!

Famer Family

I just love this family, they are so sweet and easy going.  Last year they were my first official (non friend or family) clients, and I was so excited that they came back to get portraits again this year!  So here is your sneak peak I hope that you enjoy!!

The whole gang.  Those kiddos were just ready to get down and run!

Baby A.  wasn’t here last year.  I love to see how this family has grown!!

And N is even cuter this year.  I’m told that its because of his momma.

Teel Family!

Three great kids, and two incredible parents.  I had a blast on this session.  At one point the parents had me laughing so hard that my cheeks were hurting.  Do you have any idea how hard it is to get images in focus while your laughing?  Here you go, I hope that you will like them!

The terrific family.

I do believe he is going to be a heart breaker, just look at that smile!

Such a beautiful young lady! She had this great big smile the whole time.

This is their oldest, and boy he made me work! I kind of got the feeling that he had other, more important things to be doing rather than be hanging out with me for a couple of hours. But his parents and I had fun torturing him with my camera.  In the end it was his dad who had him cracking a smile, and then breaking down with laughter (and me!).  He is the cutest kid, but he probably wouldn’t like me calling him cute, so don’t tell him.
